The N.I.C District Unit, Gajapati (Orissa) started its informatics support to the District Administration from 6th February 1997. The Dist Unit completed Five years in February 2002.

Since then NIC Dist. centre has taken un-stinted efforts to help the District Administration in decision making and policy planning through Information Technology.
