DISTRICT COURT COMPUTERISATION
NIC District Unit Gajapati has taken major initiative for the computerization of Dist. Court Gajapati. Hon'ble CM, Odisha has inaugurated the District Court, Gajapati on 30/07/2011, since then the Court has been functioning as District Court, Gajapati at the same campus. The following courts are functioning at present in Parlakhemundi -

Under e-Court computerisation, the site has been made ready for LAN fittings, and Installation of computer Hardware. One Server rooom, and all the 5 court rooms and the chambers of the Judicial Officers have been made ready with electrical fittings etc. under the supervision of NIC Gajapati.
The computer room is provided in the court of the District & Sessions Judge and the computersatiuon works of all the courts are being done in this computer room. At present the monthly pay bill processing of all the courts are being computerized and the treasury bills and schedules are being prepared every month. The main aim of district court computerization is implementation of DCIS s/w (District Court Information System). The DCIS s/w will be implemented in the District Court very soon. To implement the DCIS s/w in full fledged manner, each District Court needs to enter the total pendency of cases on the computer .
Filing Counter :
All fresh cases field on day to day basis shall be entered by making use of the terminal installed at the Filling Counter. These matters shall be allocated to different courts based on the existing norms of the court, either automatically by the computer or by the ADJ himself. All matters allotted to a court shall be accessed only by the court concerned. A day’s cause list for each court shall be prepared by the concerned court staff. The fresh matters, from the filling counter database and in case of old matter if they are available on the computers, will be included in the cause list. If the old matters are not entered into the computer, those many old matters required to list in that day Cause list shall be entered into the system by the officials who prepare the cause list and take out the cause list from the computer. This will enable them –
To take
out the complete Cause List i.e fresh matters and old matters from the
computer.
The data entry of old cases and creation of database shall be
completed in course of time.
This is an important aspect of the implementation
procedure .

Copying Branch:
Certified copies to all the litigants/advocates shall be issued by making use of the terminals provided at Copying Branch Section. As the day to day orders/judgements shall be maintained and the same shall be provided to the litigants from the copying branch section. This shall enable the District Courts in removing time delays involved in the issuance to certified copies to the litigants snd help the District Courts in eliminating corruption .
Administration:
All administrative related applications such as personnel information, inventory etc. shall be implemented by making use of the s/w developed by NIC Bhubaneswar and NIC Gajapati in due course .
