The Allotment of Kerosene Oil for the month of October-2011

Gajapati district comprises of 7 Blocks (129 GPs) out of which 5 are ITDP and 2
are Non ITDP Blocks besides 2 Urban Local Bodies. C.S Administration under which
the PDS is running caters the need of the eligible consumers through out the
district.
There are 67,132 BPL Cards (as per 1997 – 98 BPL Survey), 38,345 APL Cards, 378 Fair Price Shops, 4 K.Oil Whole Sellers (1 at Paralakhemundi & 3 are at Berhampur), 22 K.Oil Sub-Whole Sellers, 40 Miller Agents, 7 Storage Agents (5 Private & 2 Departmental), 4 Mobile Van (deployed in ITDP Blocks) in the district.
The Government has fixed the target on procurement for the Khariff Year
2001-02, 17000 MT. The achievement of the district as on 31.07.2002 is 13656.735
MT. There are 40 Miller Agents has been appointed for procurement operation in
the district.

STORAGE OF ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES IN THE
INACCESSABLE POCKETS DURING RAIN/FLOOD (2002)
To
take stock of the situation during Rain/Flood, the C.S Administration has kept
reserve stock of essential commodities in the inaccessible pockets Khanadava of
Kashinagar (50 Qtl. of Rice @ Rs. 6.30 per Kg. & 440 Ltr. of K. Oil)
& Sambalpur of Nuagada Block
(50 Qtl. of Rice @ Rs. 4.75 per Kg.
& 440 Ltr. of K. Oil).
